Bassoon reeds handcrafted in Cedar Hill, Texas. Bassoon reeds are all Rieger 1A shape and made from either Neuranter, Rieger, Medir, or Texas cane. Prices are per reed. Every reed is personally tested over several days and sanitized before shipping.
Please choose from the following options:
Advanced: Designed for the professional bassoonist. Warm, rich tone in all registers. Ideal for principal bassoon playing and advanced high school students.
Intermediate: Less resistant than the professional reed with focus on mid range to low note response. Ideal for second bassoon playing, intermediate high school, or advanced middle school. Also recommended for methods classes or students switching to bassoon from another instrument.
Beginner: Designed for beginning students or those looking for a softer reed. Easy to play with good intonation.

~1.25mm thick, 120mm length, profiled, with Rieger 1A shape. Collar is 28mm from the bottom of reed and center is marked and defined for a perfect fold every time.

Fully finished contrabassoon reed handcrafted in Cedar Hill, Texas. Contrabassoon reeds are all Rieger K3 shape and made from either Neuranter, Rieger, Medir, or Texas cane.
Thread color is random. Every reed is play tested several times on an Amati contra and disinfected before shipping. Price is per reed.
